AMT '94 S-10, A Pleasant Surprise

I recently acquired an AMT '94 S-10 kit. I wasn't expecting much, but definitely said, "wow" when I opened the box. Molded in grey, and it has nice engraving and minimal flash. The steering wheel has a big sink mark on the pad, but that is the only real molding issue. It has decals to make either an LS or SS version. The instrument cluster is a separate part from the dash, and the steering column has a turn signal/cruise stalk, a gearshift lever, and a tilt lever. Door panels are separate and well engraved, except for the power window/lock switches. The bed is one piece and very well molded. The engine compartment has A/C, and I can almost hear a tiny death rattle coming from the R4 compressor.

In short, if this was a new tool, said "Revell" on the box, and cost $24 I would still be impressed.

It's nice to be pleasantly surprised! I am looking forward to building this one.
