Removing decals

Hi everyone,

I am going to restore a kit and I want to use the original decals as I can not buy them anywhere. I need to paint the car again so I need to remove the decal without damaging it and then put it back onto the car after it is painted. Does anyone know how I can do this if possible? Any help is much appreciated.
