Toyota FT-86 II concept

Just when we thought we were going to take a look at a production version of Toyota’s b>FT-86 Concept, the Japanese automaker is side-swiping us with another version of the concept car. Really? Really?

Unfortunately for all of us, Toyota is indeed bringing a second concept for the FT-86, called the FT-86 II, to the Geneva Motor Show in March, and they have already released their first teaser image for the sports car. No other details are available at this point, so all we have to work with is the original concept’s specifications. If the FT-86 is anything like the original, then we’re looking at a compact, rear wheel drive sports concept powered by a 2.0 Liter horizontally opposed, naturally aspirated four cylinder gasoline burning engine supplied by Subaru. Both the Subaru and the Toyota versions of the car will feature the same technologies, but each maker will adopt the car’s look to their personal design language.

Speaking of Subaru, their version of the FT-86 will also be in attendance at the Geneva Motor Show. We have to wonder if this may be the reason for a second special Toyota FT-86 Concept. This should be interesting. We’ll keep you posted!
