Hello
I wish to show you my freshly completed '49 Merc. I most concentrated on the paint job on this one : I used masks from Stick It Graphics (Australia). This firm sells super pre-cut masks, for a variety of vehicles ('49 Mercs, '32 Fords, Tri-Chevies, ...). With this stuff, you really can't miss your paint job. I'm not an airbrush expert, but I managed to achieve a good result. The black base paint is Tamiya (spray can). Then, I applied the masks, primered in white to cover the black, then applied yellow from a German "Auto K" touch up spray can. I then just had to apply the faded orange ("Zero" candy flame red) with my airbrush, & that's it, you're done !

Apart from that, the kit was built nearly box-stock. I just added a pre-wired distributor (Preston's), photo-etched radiator cap (Detail Master), flocking for the carpeting (Ken's Fuzzy Fur) & fuzzy dices (Ken's).
That's it, I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I had painting it !
